Roland KT-9 Kick Trigger Pedal (O)

Works pretty well, but does NOT feel like a real kick pedal. Forget doing fast double strokes with it.

Sensitivity was good, but I did have some problems with double-triggering (on the upstroke). A higher-end drum brain could probably filter those out, but not the one I'm using. Well built, lightweight, and it feels good, but not like a real kick pedal (with the inertia of the beater and the rebound off the head). I was using it with my left foot to trigger sound effects, tambourines, etc. In a pinch, I had to move it to the right foot, and that really highlighted the different feel.

Great bag. I love that I no longer have to take off my clutch!

I only gave it 4 stars, because the zippers feel a bit flimsy. I've only had it a week or so, and taken it to two gigs thus far, and the zippers are fine, but the rest of the bag is very heavy-duty, and the zippers don't seem to match the overall construction. I bought it to save time in my setup, so I didn't have to take off the clutch. That said, I didn't anticipate that without my clutch, the seat washer and cup on the hi-hat stand will fall off in transit. Easy enough to rig, but be prepared for that. This bag is BIG. My 2 crash, 1 ride, and pair of hi-hats doesn't make a dent in things. It makes me want to carry more cymbals, just because there's room!

Flexible design, solidly built. Great!

Solidly built, and a great design. The "Z" bars make it more flexible than similar designs from LP and Meinl, as they give you the idea to shift your percussion items fore and aft, as well as left & right. I can have my small jam block striking surface evenly spaced with my large cowbell striking surface with clever placement of the Z bars.
