1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Took the bite and picked up one of these last year, and I cant be more impressed, plenty of power for carp to 15lb so far, haven’t had a cause to use the quiver tips yet although the 3oz heavy one has been used when fishing under trees, id rather break that than the hollow avon tip ;-). fittings wise I have little to comment on, the cork could be a bit nicer, a hook keeper would be nice too. Casting no problems to 1.5 oz although I'd go easy on it above 1.1 oz, feels a bit 'soft' at 1.5 oz.
Niggles.
upper rings are a bit small to my liking casting would be a bit better with slightly larger rings.
The Butt is a bit long for me, i'm using this on still water rather than river fishing, i find striking or indeed picking rod up when sitting in me chair the butt seems to find my jacket pocket every other time grrrrrr. I've had the reel seat moved down the blank and the the cork shortened down 80mm (and a hook keeper added too) and now for me the butt is just about perfect i can still rest the butt end on my hip when needed and the butt lays along under my arm nicely when playing fish :-).
As someone said above its a lifetime rod so much so I went to the trouble of buying a spare avon top section while they can still be got, they seem to be a bit fragile according to the internet :-) go on, I wont even go on about how damned convenient travel rods are...

Works on linux!

Bit the bullet bought an as new officejet 100 to use with the household laptops including my Linux Mint machine.
a word to the wise that getting printing with linux required HPLIB to be installed, I found that my distro wouldnt allow (i think so) connection to a device without using a code, however BLUETOOTH MANAGER sorted that little hicup.
Oddly setup with win 7 was just as much of a faff to get the bluetooth printing going despite using the HP driver from HP website saying all was well. I suspect that was driver issues for the bluetooth and the connection etc.
However a couple of restarts in between driver reinstalls ( Windows eh!, shakes head) seemed to get its stupidity_ sorted out eventually. haven’t dipped a toe into printing from Android just yet, one step at a time eh.
Good little printer, decent text quality haven’t tried photo printing with it yet but then again it wasn't bought for top end picture printing.

A cheap way to dip a toe into 'proper' flash use on your DSLR get one :-)
I have bought this to go on top of my Nikon P7700.
Thus far it seems to work perfectly well with the camera from an exposure point of view, as the P7700 has a leaf shutter
(p7700 is an advanced compact, not an SLR) the flash will synch right up to 500'th sec and up :-) which is nice obv on a DSLR the sync speed will limit this. The flash will bounce by tilting the tube unit upwards, I must say the the hinge does not feel the strongest of construction best be gentle with it I think. The hot shoe foot has an interesting lock which rachets the lugs outwards to lock on, neat! To sum up Not as capable as the larger metz + nikon guns but a useful adjunct to the camera. On last thing the focus assist light seems not to work on my camera, I dont know if its because the camera already has an assist lamp or its an incompatibility between the cam & the flash, i've yet to get an aswer from Metz although I cant say as im missing the functionality.
