who knew?

I'm no rock journalist so I'll just tell you what I think. This is a great one-shot reunion studio album from 1994 with all the original members [never to happen again , the guitarists & vocalist have since passed on] , it came out at a time when the Cd buying public didn't care for this kind of music so it was unfortunately overlooked , it would fit right in today with the classic rock revival that sports new albums by The Allman Bros. Band & Johnny Winter , even The New York Dolls! [all great albums too]. The boys are spot on , everything sounds just like you want it to , if you were a fan of the early Foghat records [Rock and Roll , Energized] or the Savoy Brown albums these guys are on [Blue Matter , Looking In] you will love it. Hard to get on ebay so snatch it up when you can.

One of their best!

This 1993 version is great. This album is a very good example of their early sound, more vocals by Viv Stanshall, Trad jazz, Elvis parody, sing along songs, kiddie tunes, & some mild rock psychedelia, Mr. Apollo even has some early metal. You need some fun in these uncertain times, just get it, it will make you feel nice.

From the beginning

I know there are a lot of folks that won't agree, but I'm a fan for nearly 50 years, and I think this debut album by one of the great British bands is as amazing as the 1st Lps by Led Zeppelin, Jeff Beck and Ten Years After, Also check out Chicken Shack, the 1st couple The Pretty Things, Status Quo, and of course Foghat, Americans Johnny Winter, Roy Buchanan, Bugs Henderson, John Nitzinger, etc. The point is, if you like electric blues, you will love all these.
