worked perfectly

I had some pits in a muzzleloader barrel and this worked perfectly to smooth out the surface

might be okay, but not for my Jeep

As it turned out this was not the problem, so it didn't fix the problem. I did a hard reset and then installed it and it did not function and the jeep was in (I believe) limp home mode and would not accelerate and would only go about 15 mph. The engine would not rev at all and it seemed like it was on an icy road. The other problem was still present (headlight out). I reinstalled (with a hard reset) the original TIPM and it worked as it did before. So I cannot tell you if the TIPM I bought was good or bad, it just did not work for me.
