A must for baseball fans.
Baseball fans will enjoy this movie about the 1948 World Series Champions, the Cleveland Indians and a young man who loves the game so much, he will do anything to see his heroes in action. Baseball greats such as Hank Greenberg, Tris Speaker, Lou Boudreau, Satchel Paige, Bob Feller and the rest of the 1948 Indians, play second fiddle to the superb and heart warming
performance of fifteen year old Russ Tamblyn.

A great showcase for our proud Marines.
I lived through this era in our history. The movie appeared to be very factual and actual footage from the conflict added to its realism. The cast was superb, especially 16 year old Russ Tamblyn,
who offered some comic relief as well as some tearful moments. The newspaper accounts and the motion picture appear to be very similar in content.

Definitely worth viewing!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Excellent characters and story. What makes this film so good is the somewhat surprising ending and especially the Western dance scene done by a very talented Russ Tamblyn. I watch it several times, it's that entertaining.
