Good product but not an HMC5883L
This circuit is NOT an HMC5883L and cannot be programmed as such.
It is still a 3-axis magnetic sensor, just not an HMC5883L.
It is actually a QMC5883L, which has different register locations.
To find the correct data sheet for this circuit do a web search for "3-Axis Magnetic Sensor QMC5883L".
The PDF name is QMC5883L-Datasheet-1.0.pdf
Having said all that, this is still a great circuit and works fine, you just need to know what you are dealing with.
