Martin M625 Premium Polygut Tenor Ukulele Strings, .0236-.0244

Great guitars...mediocre strings

I have been through two sets of these strings to string one uke. Both the E and the A strings broke before reaching pitch. I am not a novice; in fact, I have a sizeable collection of ukuleles of which I have restrung most in the last year without incident. I put a set of these Martins on a concert uke and was very pleased with the sound and feel of the strings, but the tenor strings that I received have been nothing but trouble.
