Typical
Typical cheap chinese product, but perfectly replaces the very same type that was in my device. Will work fine as long as you don't drop the whole unit on the floor when loaded with batteries as I did with the old one. Inexpensive and good enough for most uses, thanks for making it available in the U.S.

Nice Instrument overall
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich The craftsmanship is excellent, bracing and tuning of the top is very good, the oval sound hole adds body to the lower mid and bass tones. Overall very good sounding both acoustically and amplified. Now for the bad. I did a lot of research before buying this. Like all chinese guitars under $300.00 it comes to you in bad need of a setup which will cost you $80 to $100 to have done by a pro. With the truss rod adjusted properly, the frets leveled, crowned and polished, It becomes a whole other instrument with a buttery smooth playability that is so like playing an electric. If you usually play a well set up electric instrument you'll be right at home here after this one is properly set up. Don't buy this for a beginner unless you are willing to do the setup or pay a competent guitar tech to set it up. Right out of the box, considering the height of the strings above the fretboard, this guitar would discourage even the most eager beginner. I checked three examples of the apx500iii and all three came this way. Some dealers might be inticed to set it up for you but don't count on it, it is after all, the most popular and best selling guitar in its price class and is rarely discounted from the $299. Even at that price plus the cost of a good setup, this instrument can't be topped in it's price class.
