Fresh - Sly & The Family Stone (CD 1991)
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich There are a couple of pricelss gems on this one. The hit: IF YOU WANT ME TO STAY .. and IN TIME which features the great drumming of Andy Newmark who continued being great and funky on many classics to follow.
Only average rating because much of the stuff is kind of filler material. Too high Sly.

2 von 2 finden das hilfreich The original album was a real critics favourite. This excellent remastering adds many more outtakes from the period. If you like really funky music with classy arrangements and a top notch singer then this is for you. I give it less than excellent for the less then stunning song quality. For real music fans especially.

My favorite artist
Don's last record! Brilliant poetry. Impossibly unique music. Includes drumming by Cliff Martinez who is now a composer and used to be a member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers as well as many great LA bands.
