Direct replacement for many Toyotas
Reduces radiator rattles. Check your lower radiator bushings as well they wear at the same rate as the top bushings.

Responsive, Loud Intake
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich A good middle RPM power boosting intake. Compared to the stock intake there is a dramatic increase in throttle response between 3-6K. My only compaint is the intake is quite loud compared to stock. As this is a loud engine to begin with I'm still impressed.

Fits 03-08 Matrix/Vibe WITH modifications
In order to fit this kit in a 03-08 Matrix/Vibe you must remove the old radio brackets from your OE head unit and drill out the 2 metal dimples which locate the brackets on the unit. Then flush cut the plastic ears off each side of the adapter kit. Screw the old brackets onto the new unit on top of the adapter plates in the same place it was on the original unit using 2 screws each. Take the assembled unit and use a sharpie to mark the contact points which need to be cut off/drilled out by test fitting it into your dash. I needed to cut about 3/4" right off the bottom of the LH plastic adapter plate and 1/4" off the distal ends on the RH OE bracket and finally drill out the two closest mounting holes for it to clear the dash without scratching or bending. It is a very tight fit, but it fits. The dash trim had to be carefully guided back into place over the unit because of the tight fit.
Solder the pink BRAKE wire to the GROUND if you have no e-brake switch available and want your DVD function to work. I soldered the RED 12ACC fuse box tap wire to the RED 12v wire because the directions said it would need it, but I tested the unit without tapping it in to the fuse box and it functions perfectly so I did NOT connect the extra red wire, just wrapped it up and zip-tied it under the dash. I suspect it is only needed if you have a back-up camera or amps. Took 3 hours to do the whole project. I would rate it 5 stars if not for the extensive modification required to make it fit.
