Not Good At All
This was very disappointing. Poorly made and with terrible instructions. You're better off going to a used quality gauge or finding something else.

Disappointing book with some pretty pictures
I bought 'The Original Jaguar XJ' with high hopes, having used the MGB volume in this series for a couple of restorations.
All told, I was disappointed in the book. The photography was good, but nowhere near detailed enough; again and again I was frustrated by descriptions of things that had no picture.
Most annoyingly, the data section at the end of the book was vague and sloppy. No trim codes or paint codes were given, no colour charts, and no VIN decoder.
This book should be SO much better: it falls way short of its purpose: that is, as a full guide to the restorer or enthusiast on every aspect of the XJ. The publisher has managed this with other volumes: better should be managed with this one.
