Firefly the complete series
Quirky, excellent and unusual Sci-Fi series with a strong cast of individuals who complement each other . A bold blend of "old western" meets "BSG" creating a totally unique programme idea. Great pity that the "complete series" is only series one. Apparently the programme was axed after only one season . Not for reasons of lack of support from viewers, as the follow on full blown movie "Serenity" was produced later.
High recommended for fans of BSG, Red Dwarf, Star Trek, Helo, SG1, SGU, SG Atlantis, or any TV show that is a bit different - with wry, dry humour, no overt sex or violence, thought provoking in a subtle way and with tip top special effects, a truly believeable and sleek space ship ( a character in herself) and a cast of lovely characters ! What more could one want in a christmas stocking ?
