Neat and effective
Initial thoughts on quality are mixed. Time will tell how good they are but as I have fitted mine with in-line smart switches, I never intended these to be used much. That’s another reason I went for the neat simple on off button design, it keeps everything very sleek.
The button is very clunky and spring pressure is quite high, this is the real reason behind giving it 4 stars not five. Don’t get me wrong I am happy with them now they’re fitted.
They are slim and don’t take up too much room in the pattress wire connections are easy to make. 2 way wiring also easy but the instructions don’t look much like the back of the switch.
The finish is a satin chrome that very nicely takes on colours of the lights and walls around it so with a good warm light the finish looks more champagne gold than silver. In other whiter lights it appears more grey. Overall I really like it because of how it looks. If I had to operate it all the time I think a straight forward toggle switch would be better, but these work well for me as they are always on and give a sleek finish to the wall. The lack of toggle switch reminds the kids to voice operate the lights and leave the switches alone 😀. ....it’s a brave new world

It might not look like the one on the vehicle but it will once fitted, bargain buy!
Tried to compare this against the original Mercedes part before i bought it, unfortunately as it looks little like a fitted unit i couldn't. So I took a risk and bought it anyway, then compared it with the one on the car, thought oh dear this doesn't look right. So i went ahead and fitted it on my Viano regardless. removing the Mercedes one was a doddle, and then i realised that the new part was built identically. I had to be dead careful not to cross-thread the air fitting but one that was fitted and suspension inflated all looks and works perfectly.
