MX5 Clutch replacement
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Used to remove and replace gearbox from MX5 on my own, with vehicle on axle stands. Didn't fancy the Youtube method of resting gearbox on my chest, after doing the job I would have found that method dangerous if not impossible.
While product isn't perfect, main issue being slippery metal surface and fixing strap, no space to tension for gearbox removal but it was possible to use for re-fitting, after fitting gearbox removed one of the bolts holding on the strap.
Without this I couldn't have done the job safely on my own. With refitting it was possible to leave gearbox supported, then check inside engine bay for etc for problems as well as jacking engine to align with gear box.
Excellent value and solid construction for the home mechanic working on their own.
