Good with a bit of work
Came smelling like a musty old church or similar, initially giving concerns about water damage. I still need to take it apart to check for anything concerning but this one seemed to have been stored in less than optimum conditions.
Firmware was out of date and initially Mac detected it as a keyboard (as in typing!). Once connected to Logic constantly disconnected and reconnected. To the point of being useless. Firmware update took several attempts. Preset manager refused to work.
The issue came down to the m-audio USB cable! Replaced with a good Edirol one, removed from MIDI devices and suddenly it became fault free.
The keyboard feels pretty good with a nice positive action. All works as it should. Fader issues seem minimal or resolved after firmware update and USB change.
Have one drum pad which is a little bit dicey if used rapidly but overall I like it!
It seems many of the problems with these comes down to m-audio shipping a rubbish USB cable!
