Seals the deal
This Toyota "bumper side seal" fits my 2005 Scion xB perfectly, It fastens at three points that line up accurately. It does the job of lining the lower rear area of the wheel well and prevents mud and salt from building up behind the wheel. The original was missing when I bought the car used and this replacement was easy to install, in ten minutes.

New Life For Old Amp
This Philips IC chip is the OEM replacement for one that failed in a Danelectro battery-powered guitar mini-amplifier. The chip I purchased works great. Rather than soldering it directly to the printed circuit board as originally done at the factory, I installed an IC socket for it so that any future replacement will not require additional soldering (see chip circled in photo). You have to avoid irrational exuberance when using volume and overdrive on these little amplifiers, the speaker and audio amp chip can't take too much abuse!

The mic I wanted!
I purchased my Shure Beta 58a microphone second hand. After removing and cleaning the mesh ball and integral foam windscreen, I have used it in both rehearsal and gig situations. Note that you have to be very careful to get the foam windscreen back inside the mesh ball well-centered and beyond the internal threads of the mesh ball when replacing it. It's a tight fit in there! These microphones have a deserved reputation for ruggedness and exceptional feedback and noise rejection, qualities which I wanted and which my mic exhibits. I got it for about half price compared to a new one, and it allows me to work with a PA speaker to my side and behind me in many situations, eliminating the need for another onstage vocal monitor speaker. I'm pleased and satisfied with this purchase, and would recommend the 58a to any gigging musician. I think it's worth the extra money compared to a typical cardioid dynamic microphone, even the very good non-Beta Shure 58. I wish it had come with its original storage pouch and a cable, but you make compromises when you buy "used". I got the mic I wanted, and that's what matters.
