This is a history of Franklin Barbecue. It's light on recipes but heavy on the why's and how's to make really fantastic barbecue. It's a really good teaching book and an engaging read.

The baking book you should have on your shelf

Maida Heatter tells you why she wants you to do things a certain way. She tells you why it makes a difference. This is a really good baking book. I must have at least 30 baking books, but this is one of the best for cookies and desserts. It will get used until the pages are stained and ragged! Great book.
