I just got this today and it may be water proof but it is junk it dose work but only if you all but touching the target

I would not waist money for it it will be useless in the field just save and get a Garrett

It starts humming as soon as it's on

As soon as you turn it on it's as it's detecting metal you have to turn it half way down to use it then it is weak but dose help a little
