Codex with plenty of stuff for any Guard player
This latest Codex is full of everything you'd expect: background on the various regiments, characters, and units, fantastic photos of the armies, and point values for them all.
If you are looking to play an Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum army then this is a must.

Packed Codex for (most) Space Marines Chapters
This is the 8th edition Space Marine codex for Warhammer 40,000. It is a necessary item to optimize your army list. This book is filled with lore, amazing color photos, wargear options, points values, and all other needed information to play Space Marines. Those chapters not contained within this codex have their own titled books, such as Grey Knight, Blood Angels, etc.
The limitations of this book is that other published works have been added. That said, this does not overly limit or outdate this book. If you are taking the full plunge into 40k please also look into 2018 Chapter Approved, the Vigilus books, etc.
