Superb documentation of the personalities, the filmmaking, and the winding road to the historic first Trek film
I can't recommend this book highly enough. The content is meticulously arranged to form a comprehensive chronology of the Star Trek: The Motion Picture production. It answers many questions about the film's production decisions and puts the reader on the set, in the middle of the action. If only each Trek film -- and each fascinating film in general -- had such a historical document! I would buy every one. Kudos to Jones for keeping his source material all these decades and to Creature Features for bringing this book to fans.
