The buckle hook is the usable start point for this measurement making this a 35 inch (MAXIMUM) length belt. The seller refuses to consider that they've sold me an item that I cannot use because of their measurement error which is why I'm leaving this negative review. Shipping was great and quick but it's unusable as advertised and the seller isn't helpful.
