A book that gives you strength
Meditations is a book which people can turn to in difficult times, and it will always provide inspiration and resolve. This is the translation by Maxwell Staniforth from 1964. I prefer this translation above all others. The only drawback is that it does not contain the introduction which is in the original penguin classics version.

Versatile
Great versatile shirt, durable. Can be worn in informal and semi-formal settings. Somewhat utilitarian looking but still is an oxford shirt.

A book for anyone
Very classic book on Stoicism - - this, along with Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, are essential to understanding this philosophy / way of life. It is a good book as a gift - - appeals to anyone.
