Worthy investment.
I admit to being somewhat dubious about my choice initially, but months after buying the weather station, I’m extremely pleased with my choice. Living in a reasonably remote part of Australia, the Davis weather station gives us accurate real-time data and after investing in the optional Data-logger (highly recommended), we can transfer the information to the computer and keep the historical data. Once I figured that out, I gave the WeatherLink service a trial run and found it to be the icing on the cake! We can now monitor our current weather data on our phones anywhere with phone reception. The Davis phone app is excellent and as a bonus, we can select other Davis weather stations registered in our area (or anywhere in the world) and compare or prepare for weather events. (We’ve since subscribed to the service - very happy with it so far.)
Don’t be put off by the (dated looking) interface of the console - once hooked up with a data-logger and your computer/phone, it all comes together nicely.
Highly recommend the product! (Oh, excellent support is available in Australia if required.)

Lens good, operator maybe not so
Lens was in excellent condition for a secondhand item. Seems to work well. Possibly not such a good match for the entry-level camera and operator.

Worth the investment so far…
Our wildlife camera is a guts on AA batteries, so it was a no brainer to purchase good quality rechargeable batteries.
These batteries are made in Japan - happy with that. The charger is Chinese-made, a tip; the green charging light turns off when batteries are fully charged (this basic info isn’t in the instructions).
