Pleasantly surprised
Took it to work so one of the QA guys could check it out and calibrate it for me.
Everyone was quite surprised at the accuracy . Hopefully it will last longer than the previous one I bought from another company.

Needed chain alignment and clearance
Haven't been able to actually use it yet,just a small part of an ongoing project,but so far I don't forsee any problems . Hoping the offset is enough for the clearance needed.

Worth the read
While the books are dated with regards to available equipment at time of writing,the processes still apply .
Good learning tutorial,well laid out ,and has been helpful as a refresher for me working in a small garage machine setup.
