Nice alternative
I have used badger brushes for years, and love the silvertips in particular. I thought id try a horse hair brush. The softness is very nice though they are not as soft as silvertip badger. The hair lathers like crazy - better than badger though badger is fine. The hair isn't quite as flexible as badger but that is a small thing. In the overall, this is a very very nice brush that I use with frequency to spice up the shaving regimen, and I came to like it quickly. Handsome little rascal with an attractive and ergonomic olive wood handle. Glad I took the detour and found a new friend. It will be interesting too see if the hair becomes more flexibile with use, but its good either way.

Too small
These should be called tiny not small - It wouldnt take my 3” half congress which is clearly a small knife. Also, the suede materiel’s natural texture is a bit ‘sticky’ in the pocket, smooth materiel would be better.

Good deal
this is a great little brush - it lathers like a rabid dog, wonderful!! I only wish that the badger hair was a little softer along the lines of my silvertip brushes. It requires a bit of break in due to the shaft firmness of the horse hair, but a short pre wetting a few minutes before use helps greatly for it to splay on the face while lathering. All in all a very nice, handsome brush that invigorates a morning shave. Gets my vote.
