1987 Substance CD Still The Best Sound Quality
As a big fan of vinyl, the 1987 CD's of Substance is still the best sound quality available with a Dynamic Range of 13. The 2023 vinyl release is a muddy and brickwalled mess, such a missed opportunity by Frank.

Excellent NonBrickwalled Sound Quality
After the disappointing 2023 vinyl release of Substance that was brickwalled to death, I started going after these 1980's original studio albums and New Order singles. They were not compressed during the mastering process and because of that, sound so much better. Highly recommend!

These 2 high quality 180g records sound dynamically warm and play virtually dead quiet. Give them an excellent wet cleaning before playing and some new poly inner sleeves, relax and enjoy.
