Small multi-function timer, good design, high quality
ETI products are of great quality, and the TimeStick is no exception. It's a robust multi-function timer with 3 modes: clock, countdown timer (that beeps quite loudly when the time is up), and count up timer (i.e. elapsed time). The best feature is that it's very quick to set the countdown timer using the number buttons (e.g. 1 5 0 0 followed by Start for 15 minutes), which is much easier than timers which have only up/down buttons. The TimeStick is small and fits easily in your hand (and is also supplied with a neck lanyard). However, this does mean the buttons are fairly small and close together, and the display is not large, though it's perfectly readable. It's ideal if you want a timer that's small with good functionality. (If you want a timer with larger buttons and display, look for the ETI models 806-150 and 806-160.)

Well made, solid switch
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is a very good inline switch. It's rated at 6 amps (i.e. good for loads up to 1.4kW at 240V) and has double poles, so both the live and neutral lines are disconnected when it's off, rather than only disconnecting the live line, as would be the case for a single pole switch. It's a bit larger than a single pole switch, but appears to be of good quality.

Fun 80s movie with a great soundtrack!
I recently found myself humming the title song Electric Dreams, which prompted me to see if I could find the DVD as it's rarely shown on TV. Watching the movie was rather nostalgic, and though I'd seen this movie when it first came out and the setting now seems a bit dated, the storyline still had me engrossed from the start, with a home computer coming to life and disrupting the usual boy-meets-girl story. Sure, it's not an Oscar winner, but with engaging characters and music from the likes of Phil Oakey (Human League), Giorgio Moroder and Jeff Lynne (ELO), it's a fun movie that entertains!
