Great rugged phone that will take a beating!
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich I love this phone! You can drop it, use it in the rain, and it keeps on going. The keys are springy and sturdy and it's easy to tell when you've pressed a button. The rugged design is far less likely to press buttons accidentally in a pocket or purse. The included camera is easy to use, takes great pictures, and there is a flash as well, though it's a little clumsy to turn on (and it's completely manual). I've found that this camera takes very good pictures with normal ambient light, so I've only used the flash once. When you bring up the camera, it's easy to change the size of the picture on the fly, and the included micro SD card makes it easy to save lots of pictures to the phone for later transfer to your PC so you don't have to use online photo albums that cost money each month.
One of the best measures of a phone is when your friends want one too. All of my Nextel buddies at work bought this phone after I got mine.
This phone only connects to the Nextel network. It will not connect to the Sprint network like some of the new (and expensive) hybrids, but I've been very impressed with how well this phone receives a signal. I have one of the newer hybrid phones, and the i580 gets a stronger Nextel signal than my hybrid. Some of my friends got this phone because I was receiving a signal when their Nextels weren't receiving a signal when we were in the exact same location. We also need to use our phone in heavy, sandy winds and in the rain, and you can't beat this phone for protection from the elements.
I've made heavy use of all the little doors on the phone (Micro SD card and charger area) and they are still water tight and snug. You can't even tell that they've had use at all.
This phone really is as rugged as it's cracked up to be!
The one downside to this phone is the battery life. I've had two phones that take this battery and 2 days is the most you can expect of it when you use the phone. I've gotten 3 1/2 days with only standby time. Also, I like to use voice activated dialing. This needs to be manually set up with your own voice. This is easy to do from the contacts area, but you have a limited number of voice activated contacts (I think it's 20- going from memory here).
If you need a rugged push to talk phone, this is best one going in my opinion. My coverage area needs changed due to a vacation home, so I needed to get a hybrid phone. I was disappointed that this model didn't come in a hybrid.

Great playset
The circus playset is a great addition to our Duplo sets. My grandson absolutely loved this!
