What should have been used originally, no drive failures to deal with.

A drive coupling that will actually hold up and last the life of the pump. The original coupling was a joke, replaced them a couple of time then finally used a piece of plastic tubing forced over the original drive hubs. Now I don't have to worry about the motor to pump drive failing.

Polaris 360 In Ground Pressure Side Automatic Swimming Pool Cleaner F1

Works well, lot of moving parts to wear out.

The Polaris 360 works well although the cost of ownership is high compared to the Jandy Rayvac I had previously. The unit stays in the pool and operates about 5 hours a day. I had two of the Rayvac units from 1998 to 2014, this is my second Polaris 360, which is replacing the unit I bought in 2014. I have rebuilt the 360 unit twice and replaced a couple of the wheel bearings again as well as replaced the hose (splits easily) and swivels since its installation in 2014, never had to replace hose components on the Rayvac. The bag with the Velcro opening is difficult to get debris out of, I have been purchasing the bag with the zipper which seems easier to clean. I am happy with the Polaris 360 and it works well. Also it is easy to see how much has been collected which could not be seen in the Rayvac.
