Very Smooth...
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich As to date I'm very pleased with this Daiwa Tatula CT -type R reel. Right out of the box this very low profile reel with it's Magforce Z braking system performed like a champ.It's aluminum frame has zero flex.The 8.1:1 high speed took a little getting use to for me cause I have nothing that fast and I needed to slow down on some of my saltwater lures. Hey, it's easier to crank slower than crank like a manic to speed up.Only time will tell how this reel will hold up in a saltwater environment, but I take care of my gear and until I start to wrangle in those large cobia and bull redfish I won't know how the gears will hold up to those monsters. I have this reel paired up with a Duckett Ghost MH 7'6" rod with mini eyes and so far I'm thrilled with this setup. No regrets so far and I hope it stays that way. Yes I will recommend this rod to one and all.

So far it's Great but time will tell
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I only had this reel for a short time but in that time it has performed like a champ.I also have the Daiwa Tatula Type R CT and this reel also has been a great fishing tool. I bought the Coastal for it's saltwater construction, I fish the saltwater flats of Florida in search of Sea Trout, Redfish and Snook and the Coastal has not let me down in that pursuit.It's smooth casting and retrieve is a blessing for those of us using artificial lures that has to cast over and over. The crank handle is large (100mm) and so are the EVA knobs which makes it easy to grab with wet hands.15.4 lbs of smooth max drag is plenty for bull reds. I have it mounted on a Duckett 7'6" MH Inshore rod and the pair works great together. It's such a joy to use I just can't wait to get out in the water and skips some lures under the mangroves and docks.This reel is compact and I palm it nicely, fits like a glove. I wouldn't think twice about buying another one, in fact I just might do that. Tight lines and don't sweat the small stuff.

Sometime it works and sometime it doesn't. When it does work it works just fine. I won't buy another one.
