Good suction - Energy Efficient
I’ve had this vacuum cleaner a couple of weeks now since my 10 year old 2200w power 2 reach cleaner finally gave up the ghost and started making groaning noises and a burning smell.
First impressions of the Air Max Pet were that compared to my previous Vax cleaner that it seems to be made of cheaper quality plastic and didn’t seem as sturdy. When I tried he supplied heads they didn’t seem to run across the carpet as well as the carpet / hard floor head that came there power 2 reach. I was pleasantly surprised that the metal pipe and head from my old cleaner fitted the pipe so an using the old head on the new cleaner and it works well.
The reason I went for the Air Max Pet instead of cheaper units is that I needed another with variable power for cleaning filters etc.
I checked on the smart meter and the new unit uses approx 1/3 of the electricity and has similar suction to the previous unit.
So far so good. It’s just the heads that don’t seem as good as the previous cleaner but with the old pipe and head fitted the unit works really well and an Happy with the purchase. Will see if this one lasts 10 years...

Nice quality Internet radio for the price.
I was a bit dubious at first about purchasing this radio but is does work quite well. I bought a reconditioned unit from a company on eBay and it comes with a 12 month warranty.
The main reason I bought it was for the Internet Radio side. This is powered by the MediaU service and does have thousands of stations available but does sadly lack a few of the stations some that I listen to on my Roberts Radio. The Stations can be added on the Radio and there also you can program favourites using the media you.net website. I also have the MediaU app on my iPad and some of the stations in the MediaU Favourites such as 96FM in Perth, which also works fine on the Roberts 84i, as one example are nowhere to be seen on the Majority Kings radio which is annoying but are there and working on the IOS App. It does pick up a lot of good stations from the UK, Australia and around the world and the sound quality of them is very good.
The DAB+ seems to work ok but the FM reception is quite poor even with the antenna fully extended with some hissing on local stations transmitted less than 10 miles away and imposible to pick up stations slightly further away that other radios pick up fine due to internal computer type interference constantly. You can get all the stations around here on DAB and Internet radio so I probably won’t use FM.
The CD and Bluetooth seem to work ok.
The sound quality is pretty good and it has a nice sound once you have set up the bass and treble on the equaliser. It has a nice little weather feature in standby.
The setting up is a bit finicky compared to the likes of the Roberts Radio and the favourites seems to be a bit limited but once you get it set up it works fine. I need to have a play with it more and fully read the manual.
All in All it’s a nice unit and mostly does what it says on the tin as they say. Good for the price.
