Danny Kaye is a gas conducting the New York Philharmonic. I love the music and the humor.
Laugh out loud funny for anyone but particularly those who love classical music as I do.

Funny film for any lover of humor or WWII movies.
I have looked for years for a recording of this movie. I saw it once while in college back in the early 70's and laughed out loud. The convoluted plot and its twists and turns only add to the delight of watching this film.

I love this trip down memory lane.
My family of origin had several of these recordings on 78s that were badly scratched. It is a joy to hear them again with clarity as well as other selections that were new to me. John Charles Thomas was one of the great baritone voices of the 20th century who sang opera but also appreciated the lighter side of music. It was to him that Albert Haye Malotte dedicated his music version of the Lord's Prayer and nobody I've heard sings it quite like he did. I am delighted that people are still reviving these old classics.
