Very soft wood.

This is made of some very soft, very inexpensive white wood. Not well suited for food preparation. Just a piece of soft dowel turned on a wood lathe Not even sanded smooth. Save your money. Go to Home Depot and buy buy a short length of dowel. Sorry I bought it.

Amazing value. Great quality sound.

Purchased this on the advice of a friend who was the piano tuner for the Cincinnati Symphony. The sound is very close to an acoustic piano and the keys are weighted just right. I got this to replace a Yamaha GH-1 Grand Piano which fell victim to divorce. Very happy with this choice and the price is right.
