A strong basic performer

This seems a solid basic dual foot switch. It has a nice long stereo cord, and it's made of steel. There are no lights or fancy graphics, and there don't need to be any. It's still new, but i anticipate good service from it.

Powerful tool

I've used desoldering tools, with and without vacuum. If you have much work to do, and time means anything to you, then you need a better tool. The Hakko FR-300 works as well as any I've used. Suck power is near endless, and it pulls out solder to a finish cleaner than I've ever gotten with plunger type tools. Hakko and others make more expensive bench top versions, albeit at prices many times the price. For the FR-300, the temperature is controlled and settable, and the vac ump is strong. Tips are available with orifices from .8 to 1.6 mm, with 1.0 mm being stock. I'd like a bigger tip for some work, but with the 1.0 tip I can still quickly clean out large pins. I don't expect I'll need to replace this tool any time soon, but I'd buy it again if I lost this one!

Construction staple

This set of nylon standoffs has a good assortment of lengths to suit a variety of projects. Hopefully I can find refills for the sizes that get used up first. The manufacture quality seems high, as all the ones I've used are consistently sized and all have good threads.
