Great receiver
2 von 3 finden das hilfreich I've been a Harman Kardon fan for many years but got tired of waiting for them to catch up to the likes of Denon. Aside from all the added features, customization, and 9.2 channels, the sound is significantly better than the 7.1 HK I had. I'm still using the same HK speakers - Infinity surround, center, and sub with Klipsch fronts.
I added two HK JBL bookshelf speakers for the back channels to complete a 9.2 setup. I was very nervous about the added costs and work of a 9.2 configuration as I spent a lot of time and money concealing all the wires behind walls and under baseboards so no wires are showing with all surround speakers on wall mounts. This setup is in my living room, not a dedicated media room which makes such a setup much more difficult and risky. Hooked up the Denon and tuned the sound for the room and I'm happy to report it was well worth it. I've watched a few bluray movies now and I'm hearing things I never heard before. The sound is rich, immersive, and full with deep bass, soft mids, and crystal sharp highs. Movie effects are well balanced to not drown out dialog and details. I haven't yet had issues with dialog being to soft or quiet compared to other sounds. It took some trial and error to get it balanced, but the UI is very easy to use and doesn't take long to change settings.
It's only been a few weeks now and I'm still experimenting with tuning, but I'm very pleased with this receiver so far. My next goal is to setup Dolby Atmos which is one of the main features I was looking for in a new receiver.
