Wily Women Warriors!

This is an excellent movie about real people and real events. Viola Davis is perfect as the leader of the Dahomean women warrior group called the agajie. Moving and action-packed.

A Singing Biography

This is the most poetic biography I have ever read. And this should be expected from the author of "Miss Macintosh my Darling", a gorgeous and hallucinatory epic American novel. Her beautiful writing style is used here to tell the story of our country and its first great labor leader, Eugene Debs.

Oh yeah!!! Here is a collection of some of my favorite exploitation films, with the immortal Pam Grier. These are raunchy, a little gory, and just plain fun. Filmed in the Phillipines in the early 70's, these are cult classics and all look really good.
