does not work out of the box with most linux distros
I bought this for my linux os solus because the advert had linux logo. Needless to say it was not recognized by solus I then tried it with three other distros with same result. There were no linux drivers on disc so I could install using terminal. This borders on false advertising. on the other hands if all you want is a windows adapter, it works perfectly and is more powerful than othyer adapters I own. I went to linux wiki and researched adapters and ordered a new one
