Great value cutting mat
I primarily bought the mat for cutting pieces of leather on to make holsters for sharp garden tools. The anti slip surface works a treat and it is very useful having grid lines, angles, hexagons and circles marked on the board which can help with the shaping of some of the smaller pieces. While I am writing this it has also come to mind that the grid lines will be a great help in drawing up parallel lines for sashiko patterns, the pieces of material can be aligned with the grid and parallel lines can be drawn on the fabric both horizontally and vertically at 0.5cm and 1.0cm apart. A useful piece of kit.

Good value, easy to use.
Good value, easy to use, holds work in place leaving hands free to stitch. Use some scrap pieces of leather between the jaws if you feel it is necessary to protect the surface of the work you are stitching. Can be easily dismantled and put back in box when not in use which makes it easier to store.
