Sometimes it takes some wiggling to get it to register that the battery is in it. But so far it has charged my batteries very well.

stripped Coaial cable worked better.
Managed to get one channel out of 18 to come in clear. Suction cup mount did not work well on any surface. I did not look carefully at this before I bought it. I thought it was a powered unit with an amplified signal. It is not. In my area it is useless. A foot of bare wire on the end of a coaxial cable worked much better!!! So did an old fashioned rabbit ear analog antenna which is what I am using now. No power amplifier and yet I get all 18 stations and a few audio only stations.. Save your money if you have power lines close or any other interference.
