Sheer brilliance
Tippett has always flown under the mainstream radar. A great shame, as he has produced some exceptional recordings over the years. The Dartington Concert is wonderful music, by turns percussive and lyrical, it draws you into a unique soundworld.
Not to be missed!

E.S.T. Strange place for snow
I don't know what the other reviewer was listening to but I disagree with his critique.
Strange place for snow is well up to the high standards set by Svensson & Co.
Maybe not quite so good as Winter in Venice or From Gagarin's point of view but a fine piece of work with much to reward careful listening.

Excellent piano Jazz.
As always, Newton produces the goods. Inventive, subtle music played with great feeling and touch.
