Just what I wanted
We were having problems selecting channels - I wasn't sure if it was the remote control or the 'box' itself, but as we have had this box for some time, the remote has had a lot of use, so decided to look for a new one.
I was over the moon when I found a genuine Goodmans remote, as you get used to these things and with an alternative make, I would have had to look where the buttons were, rather than just pressing the appropriate button without looking.
When the new remote arrived, I swapped the batteries out of the old one (I had changed them in an effort to overcome the original problem) and away it went - No setting up or anything technical, it just worked straight away.
The only obvious difference between the new and old units, is that the battery compartment cover has been improved.
I can well recommend this remote control - just make sure that it is the one for YOUR recorder/tuner before ordering it, as it may not work on other models.

Long lasting thermostat
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I bought this thermostat to replace an earlier model of the same 'stat - the old one had only lasted thirty two years!!!
This thermostat has 'change over' contacts - these are required if you have a 'Y' Plan system, A thermostat with only make or break contacts would not allow a 'Y' Plan system to work correctly.
If you are not sure of your system, Google 'Y Plan heating system, although this 'stat will work on other systems.
Very easy to fit, although I would recommend that you either take a photograph or make a drawing of the wiring on the old unit to make sure that you get it right first time.
I am now hoping that the new one will last for 32 years.
