Highlander Imagine Series; "For Love's Sake", get it!!
The Highlander Imagine Series of books, by Wendy Lou Jones and Liliana Bordoni is so good so far!! I got the first book , "For Love's Sake" and am glad I did. I started reading it and just finished Chapter 3. I am loving it so far and could hardly put it down. Of course Tess' path is different in these books than the TV series, etc. But I always wondered about the "what ifs" about that, about her, anyway. Also, in the scene when Richie was dying, and when it described how he fell against her when shot how his head slowly slid down into her lap as he died, man, I felt a tug in my heart. I am quite fond of Richie (I wasn't always), and I have been re-watching the series off and on here lately and they are all fresh in my mind, along with their world. So when I read that my heart reached out to Richie.
The action or the interest just pics right up and keeps gong. For example a couple of cops are on patrol looking for the shooter, and one of them is an immortal. How old and interesting he is, you will have to read the book. Then by the end of Chapter 3, right at the end, a newly recruited Watcher is introduced! That had me HOOOOKED!!!! I am quite sure I am going to love this book. Now back in there to read some more. I ran in here to my computer just to give y'all a quick holler and how much I like this book so far. If you like or were a Tess fan and wondered about other scenarios the series might have taken with her, then try this book. I highly recommend it

It is so light, well balanced and is perfect for any sort of close up work, in a hall way, an aley, etc. In fact it should not be named Macheti. To me it is a perfect modern made Gladius. I love the handle too. It is very durable material and just right for big hands, non slip surface so no prob with sweaty hands. i wish y sabre handles were made of this.
