Disappointing product
This was bought specifically for a Sony Xperia phone. It is too small and as can be seen in the picture the top corners are not protected. The quality of construction is not very impressive and it generally feels insubstantial. Another case had to be obtained for the phone, very disappointing.

The right tool for the job
This is not really a simple 'plug & play' device. Some basic knowledge of electronics is probably needed to use it. Given that, if you need to interface a computer to a device with 5v digital serial signalling, it may be a suitable choice. Make sure the device interface needed is 5v not 3v. If it is 3v, buy the alternative cable. Personally I only use FTDI chipset devices. I have only tested these cables with Win10 and for me they auto configure without any issues. Recently I needed a cable for another project, so I made sure that I bought the same again.

A necessary evil
It does what it says on the can. Didn't have the right cables for my modular PSU, this was an easy fix and it's only carrying low current DC.
