Better materials would have made it a great product.
It looks good and the color is close to what was shown in the photos. The problem is that the lower part of the pole is made of paper-thin metal. No way this is going to last and many people are reporting that similar products break when the wind picks up. If the Chinese had used another $1 worth of material, they could have a winner that last for some time, but noooooo.......
It is a pretty common size pole, so when yours breaks you might be able to rig something up. My sister used a wood dowel to replace hers when the wind broke it (not this same umbrella).
Mine goes through a hole in the center of a table, so it is supported there and at the base. If yours is solely supported by a base, gonna be a higher probability of breaking.
I guess for the overall cost, it could be considered a decent buy. I prefer to buy things that are going to last.But, the red canopy if pretty and really pops.
