Fun and involved
Great looking after assembly and very entertaining for the young man I gave it to. He likes playing with it.

difficult to use
This item comes with very little instructions as to use. Should the volume be turned up or down and under what conditions. It says it is good for shallow water. Meaning what? The instructions are pretty much useless for someone purchasing a metal detector for the first time and are probably not that good for someone familiar with metal detectors. How about presenting the facts and describing how to use it in different situations. I expected a lot more from a metal detector at this price.
