Great espresso with freshly ground coffee
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The Classic is probably one of the best machines out there for the money, but should you decide to go with this machine, be also prepared to purchase a good coffee grinder or you won't be getting the most out of this machine. Pre-ground coffee (even Italian espresso grinds) do not work the best with this machine.
I've lived over 10 years in Italy and know what good espresso should taste like, and I'm sorry but it can't be found at Starbucks.
To get the best experience, you need to have fresh ground coffee of a consistent espresso grind. Play around with the beans till you find what you like. Good tasting coffee can be had from the beans at the local grocery store. A good slow draw is the key when making espresso with the Classic. It may take a few times to perfect, but the real key is fresh coffee.
Burr grinders are expensive, but they're a must with the Classic. I recommend the Rancilio Rocky as a great compliment to the Gaggia Classic. If money is no object, buy the Mazzer.
