Good product
Can't fault this. It feels very light, but the parts that you interact with - the terminal strip and the front buttons - all feel good and solid. The menu structure requires you to look up the options in the manual because the display can only handle a few characters but this is not a fault. The manual itself is in Chinglish but easy enough to understand. For the money it's brilliant.
Recommended.

Marginally better than junk & best avoided.
2 von 3 finden das hilfreich This product is marginally better than junk. It's typical of the low quality, barely acceptable rubbish that's available these days. The housing is thin and a thermoplastic which is a bad choice for something that will get warm or hot in use. The first thing that happened after I soldered the leads on and plugged it in was that the supplied 3A fuse blew. Next, the spring which tensions the fuse is of such a low cross-section that it gets hot at currents of 1A or more and in my case, the plastic supporting it melted away causing the thing to fail completely within minutes of first use and with an average of 500mA drain. I absolutely would not recommend this because I would not ever use it unattended because of the inherent fire risk. I bought a identical replacement plug from Halfords which, tellingly, only differed by having an uprated spring (and a 5A rating).

Can be made to fit the other motor DC08
There are two types of motor fitted to the DC08. I bought this item knowing that it was the wrong one because the others are no longer made. This can be made to fit the other design by carefully trimming the rubber motor mounting rubber seal with a Stanley knife. It went together perfectly and functions better than ever.
