very compact and does the job
it lights up a variety of led colours from a single 1.2V NiMH or 1.5v dry cell. I haven't used it with a solar panel yet. For experimenters, it's a pity you can't adjust the cut-off voltage or running current somehow (without changing a surface mount inductor). Most people presumably wouldn't want this.

It works as advertised. The setting time is quite short (a few mins).

it unscrews 14mm nuts well.
easily undid a rusted1 nut on which a blowlamp couldn't be used.
