The radio is like new old stock. A difficult radio to find. I bought my first version in 1983 - a red model. I took it to Mexico on two occasions and then to law school in the late-1980s. I still have mine, but wanted one where the cassette still worked. ( I wore mine out listening to the Police, Paula Abdul, and Duran Duran.) I was so excited to find this one; a black model in perfect condition. I held my breath when it arrived. Then loaded up a Bruce Springsteen cassette: "Born in the USA." It worked perfect. You can find real gems on eBay.
