Colour transfer issue
I bought this for my 11 year old daughter for World Book Day; even though I went for the largest size available for 12-13 years old, it just about fitted. However the knee pads were positioned about 10cm too high - obviously made for someone shorter. So I had to unstitch them and sew into the right place. Although it looked good the material is polyester and quite thin.
After wearing for a few hours we noticed the black dye from the clothing had coloured the white socks my daughter was wearing, it had also rubbed off onto her clothing underneath. Later on after she had a bath the water turned a grey/purple colour, and it subsequently left stain marks on my white bath which are still there! To say I am not happy is an understatement.
This was not a cheap costume to buy, and the quality I expected was not there. It’s the first time I have had a colour issue with a costume. If you are even considering buying this make sure your child does not sit on anything white and has a shower afterwards!
